About Mindy Grandaw, OTR/L

I graduated from the College of St. Catherine's Occupation Therapy program. I am national board certified in Occupational Therapy in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. I've worked in many occupational therapy setting including schools, homecare, industry, developmental achievement centers, hospitals and clinics. I am guilty of using humor in all aspects of my life including my work as a therapist. I acknowledge that illness and injury are difficult and that therapy is hard work. Sometimes humor makes the work go a little easier. Healing is a process, every person is unique and I try to develop specific patient-centered plans for every individual in therapy. Professionally, I was drawn here by the reputation of St. Croix Medical Center. I moved to the area with my family because of the good schools, small town setting and because the beauty and proximity to water remind me of my hometown of Duluth, Minnesota.

Areas Of Interest:

I particularly enjoy elbow/hand therapy; making custom splints and helping adults with neurologic and orthopedic conditions maximize their independence. I also love to problem solve using simple adapted equipment and modified techniques to help people be more successful immediately after injury.
